The newly-renovated Hilton Atlanta is located in the heart of Atlanta’s rejuvenated downtown scene. The Hilton Atlanta is within walking distance of everything that makes Atlanta sizzle, such as the Georgia Aquarium, World of Coke, Peachtree Center Mall, and more than 25 restaurants. The Hilton itself offers a variety of dining options in addition to a state of the art fitness center available to you 24 hours a day.
Reservations can be made by visiting the hotel's reservation site or by calling 1-800-Hiltons and mentioning the group code AAO. The group rates are $179/single and $199/double per night and are valid three days prior and after the official meeting dates. Reservation cut-off date is February 27, 2012 or until the room block is sold out.

Travel Information
We urge you to confirm your travel arrangements early to take advantage of lower fares. Travel-On is the official travel agency for the 38th Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium. Airline reservations may be made by visiting www.tvlon.com/oandp or by calling (800) 249-4041. When making reservations please refer to meeting code OandP. You may also email them at meetings@tvlon.com. Travel-On is open Monday-Friday, EST from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
The hotel is just 15 minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The Atlanta Airport Shuttle Service (TAASS) offers transportation from Hartsfield Atlanta Airport and departs from Ground Transportation every 15 minutes from 6:00 am until midnight. You do not need a reservation when you travel from the airport to the hotel. They have a booth outside of the Delta baggage claim area on the South side of the terminal. The hours of operation for the booth inside the airport are from 8:30am – 10pm. You may purchase a ticket (cash or credit) at the booth. The price is $29 round trip or $16.50 one way per person. By mentioning AAOP at the booth you will receive a $2.00 discount off your roundtrip fare. Please note you do need a reservation to return to the airport. Cabs are readily available and will run approximately $30 each way.
Taking the MARTA
The MARTA is a fast, convenient and cost-effective way to get from the Hartsfield Airport to downtown Atlanta. You can take either the North or North-East line for just $2.50 one-way per person (all transfers included). The stop for Hilton Atlanta is Peachtree Center Station (N1). Take the train north and exit at Peachtree Center Station. Take the Harris Street escalator or follow the directions for Peachtree Center mall. You will go up a very steep escalator into the mall. Take the walkway from them following signage for the parking garage & Peachtree Center Athletic Club. Take the elevator to the street level (Level 2).
