Who should attend?

The Academy Annual Meeting is geared toward certified orthotists, prosthetists, pedorthists, technicians, fitters, assistants, candidates, residents, students, as well as professional individuals including pedorthists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists, physicians, rehabilitation engineers and case managers.

Suppliers of orthotic and prosthetic related products and services are encouraged to exhibit.

When does the meeting begin?

The meeting officially begins on Wednesday, February 27 with Technical Workshops from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The Welcome Reception in the Exhibit Hall at 6:00 pm that evening is the festive kick-off to the entire meeting.

For your convenience, registration opens onsite on Tuesday, February 26 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and then again at 7:00 am on Wednesday, February 27.

What sessions are being offered?

A Preliminary Program will be mailed in November to all Academy members and ABC certified and registered individuals. After the November mailing it will be placed online for your easy access. .

The website will be updated as revisions are made.

Where will the meeting be held?

The Caribe Royale Orlando is the official host of the 34th Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium. Meeting registration, all sessions and the Exhibit Hall will be in the Caribe's Convention Center located on the hotel property.

What is the dress code for the meeting?

Business casual is appropriate to wear to all programs and events. The temperature in hotels typically runs cool.
