Register By Fax:
To register by fax, payment must be made by credit card. Complete the registration form and include your VISA, MasterCard or American Express information and fax the form to ExpoTrac at (401) 765-6677. To avoid duplicate charges and reservations do not mail your form after faxing it. Neither the Academy nor ExpoTrac are responsible for faxes not received due to mechanical failure or circumstances beyond our control. Due to the high volume of faxes received, we are unable to confirm fax receipt. Acknowledgement letters confirming registration will be mailed approximately 2 weeks after the registration form is received. Please review the information carefully and fax any corrections back to ExpoTrac at (401) 765-6677.

Payment must be made by check, money order or credit card. Registrations will not be processed without payment.
Registration and Tickets
Everyone, including exhibitors, must complete a registration form. Badges and event tickets will be distributed on site. To avoid the early Wednesday morning rush you may register and pick up your meeting packet on Tuesday, February 28 from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
Press
Press registration is open only to editorial staff (credentials required) and admits the holder to the Exhibit Hall during exposition hours only. Individuals must pick up their badges on-site. Press passes will not be issued for sales, marketing or advertising personnel. There is a limit of two press passes per publication.
Policies and Payment
Refunds/cancellations must be submitted in writing. In the event of cancellation of the Academy Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium, the Academy's liability is limited to the return of the registration fee. Any refunds/cancellations made before February 3, 2006 are subject to a processing fee of 10% of the registration amount. After February 3, 2006 no refunds of registration fees will be granted. Refunds for optional functions are not available. Substitutions made after February 3, 2006 will gladly be accommodated, but will be assessed a 10% processing fee.
Registration fees paid to The Academy may be deductible for federal income tax purposes as ordinary and necessary business expenses. Please consult your tax advisor for assistance in specific situations.
Registration Category Descriptions
FULL CONFERENCE: Includes all meeting materials, Proceedings CD-Rom, lunches, brunch, and the Welcome Reception.
EXHIBITORS: Each table or booth purchased receives TWO complimentary registrations. Each table or booth may then register up to two additional people at a rate of $200 each. All others must register under another applicable category.
SPOUSE OR CHILD: Spouses and children of registered attendees must complete a registration form if they wish to attend the programs, or visit the Exhibit Hall. Those interested only in the optional functions need not register. Registered individuals may purchase tickets for spouses or family members. Children 10 & under are free; 11-18 pay $75; over 18 must pay the full applicable registration fee. Children and spouses who wish to attend the welcome reception must either be registered under this category or purchase a reception ticket. ABC and BOC certified practitioners attending the meeting for credits may not register under this category.
Membership Descriptions
ACTIVE/ASSOCIATE: Practitioners in orthotics and/or prosthetics who are certified by and are in good standing with the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) or state licensed practitioners.
AFFILIATE: Technicians, Fitters and Assistants who are registered and in good standing with the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC).
PROFESSIONAL: Individuals in other professional fields that are related to the orthotics and prosthetics field and do not meet requirements for Active, Affiliate, Associate, or Candidate membership. This would include Certified Pedorthists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Podiatrists, Physicians, Rehabilitation Engineers and Case Managers.
INTERNATIONAL AFFILIATE: International practitioners who are certified by a national or private organization outside the United States.
EMERITUS: Retired practitioners who have been granted Emeritus status with the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC).
CANDIDATE: Individuals in orthotics and/or prosthetics who have successfully completed an NCOPE accredited practitioner-training program, but have not yet met the ABC postgraduate eligibility requirements for certification.
RESIDENT: Individuals currently enrolled in an NCOPE accredited residency program. ABC certifiees that are enrolled in an NCOPE accredited residency program may not register under this category.
STUDENT: Individuals currently enrolled in a CAAHEP-accredited practitioner program or an NCOPE-accredited training program.
