Discuss the diagnostics for cardio-pulmonary problems; ejection fractions (to what % the heart is pumping properly), CHF, chest X-rays, catherizations, medications, and their effect on the body and how they affect prosthetic treatment of an amputee. Address the ability of a patient's heart to handle ambulation at all, the weight of components, safety expectations during treatment, the affects of certain medications, and more. |

Focus on the management of the diabetic/ neuropathic foot including review of footwear, footwear modifications, foot orthoses design and fabrication as well as various ankle foot orthoses. A casting demonstration for CROW's and other ankle foot orthoses will be highlighted with interaction from the attendees encouraged. Roger Marzano, CPO, CPed will be sharing 25 years of clinical "pearls" and cases to highlight how to successfully salvage the complex myriad of diabetic foot disorders presented to today's O&P practices.
